The Strategic Engagement and Events Team at Zipline builds relationships, understanding, and momentum with key stakeholders. They work across various departments like Commercial, Government Affairs, Communications, and Operations to translate business priorities into thoughtful stakeholder experiences and engagement strategies. Their work involves hosting leaders for technology demonstrations, supporting market launches, coordinating partner events, and creating experiences for investors and community leaders. The team focuses on understanding objectives, identifying target audiences, and designing effective engagements to achieve desired outcomes, offering a unique perspective on Zipline's growth and trust-building efforts.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or recently graduated, with an interest in communications, business, marketing, public affairs, events, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize research into clear, concise written materials.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple details, deadlines, and moving parts while keeping the overall objective in focus.
  • Curious and analytical, with a desire to learn about new audiences, markets, and business problems, and ask thoughtful questions.
  • Comfortable taking initiative, working through ambiguity, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Collaborative spirit, eager to work with diverse individuals across various functions, backgrounds, and levels.
  • Willingness to support in-person engagements and events, which may occasionally require travel or work outside standard business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Research markets, stakeholders, and opportunities to inform engagement strategies.
  • Develop engagement strategies and briefing materials, including audience research, stakeholder profiles, experience concepts, agendas, talking points, and recommendations.
  • Support planning and execution of strategic engagements such as VIP visits, technology demonstrations, partner events, market launches, community activations, conferences, and company-owned events.
  • Build and maintain project plans and workbacks, coordinating timelines, owners, guest lists, logistics, communications, production needs, and dependencies.
  • Partner with teams across Zipline including Government Affairs, Communications, Commercial, Operations, Partnerships, Workplace, Design, and others to gather information and ensure project progress.
  • Support onsite execution of engagements, ensuring well-run experiences and problem-solving as needed.
  • Measure and document engagement outcomes, stakeholder follow-up, lessons learned, and create reusable resources for future events.
