Strategic Buyer - Procurement Equipment & Parts
About The Position
The buyer for this team will be responsible for all aspects of the production equipment MRO procurement process for Samsung Austin Semiconductor. Responsibilities include managing the purchase order lifecycle and overseeing demand forecasting and inventory planning. Additionally, the role involves developing and executing negotiations for supply agreements with strategic suppliers, leading cost savings and efficiency initiatives, tracking and reporting procurement-related key performance indicators, and collaborating with Engineering and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess high accountability and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be excited by the challenge of bringing leading-edge technology to the US market.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics or a related field.
- 7+ years of procurement / supply‑chain experience.
- Hands on work with an ERP, SAP preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and time‑management skills.
