About The Position

Seaman Corporation is seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager - Geomembrane to join our Commercial team! This is a remote position that will report to the Industrial Fabrics Sales Director. In this role, the Strategic Business Development Manager - Geomembrane will focus on expanding Seaman Corporation’s geomembrane market. The role involves building relationships with key decision-makers across industry owners, engineering firms, consultants, and contractors to influence specifications and secure business for Seaman Corporation’s geomembrane products. The individual in this position will work independently and be a critical contributor to our expanding business. Ideal candidates will experience navigating complex sales cycles within these key segments, an understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate across customer and partner ecosystems. This person should possess knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and procurement processes, particularly in containment and environmental applications. They should also demonstrate financial acumen in discussing project feasibility and unit economics. Experience with geomembrane or related material specifications within Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Potable & Wastewater sectors is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience selling within the Geomembrane market, preferably with a focus on containment systems, geomembranes, or related industries
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working with Power Generation, Oil & Gas companies, Water treatment facilities, procurement processes, and navigating regulatory environments
  • Familiarity with geomembrane products and environmental containment solutions
  • Proven capabilities in growing relationships at the senior executive level and C-Suite for global Fortune 500 companies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop opportunities and close new business or expansion sales
  • Successful track record of achieving immediate credibility; presenting varying ideas to create value and challenge the status quo; and able to think quickly, listen well, and understand how to react and modify approach in front of clients and other key influencers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with geomembrane or related material specifications within Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Potable & Wastewater sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a portfolio of customers and partners within these key industry segments, including owners, engineering firms, consultants, contractors, fabricators and installers when needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry decision-makers to create a network that promotes Seaman Corporation products
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders within the organization to ensure scope of deliverables, timelines, and budgetary demands
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for segments, working with fellow Strategic Business Development Managers and the Direct Sales teams to drive compliance and growth in sales and ensure brand awareness
  • Independently pitch and close complex sales presentations
  • Conduct negotiations with major companies and key decision makers at the senior executive level and C-Suite
  • Identify opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to fully support customer goals
  • Oversee sales performance to meet and exceed target sales goals
  • Ensure accurate pipeline management and forecasting
