About The Position

ShareGate is the leading Microsoft 365 migration and governance platform, trusted by over 100,000 IT pros for its unmatched simplicity. It offers the simplest, most reliable, and most affordable way to move business data to Microsoft 365, handling migrations from various sources like Google Workspace, file shares, Exchange Online, SharePoint On-Premises, or tenant-to-tenant. ShareGate also provides governance features to help organizations maintain control over their data post-migration, ensuring environments are clean, secure, and optimized, and laying the groundwork for safe Microsoft Copilot deployment. ShareGate is developed by Workleap Technologies, a Montréal-based software company. This is a brand-new role at ShareGate where the successful candidate will build and own the Microsoft alliance from the ground up. The Strategic Alliance Manager will transform the relationship with Microsoft into a tangible growth engine, driving pipeline, accelerating deals, and strengthening ShareGate's position within the Microsoft ecosystem. This role involves defining how ShareGate engages with Microsoft and translating strategic alignment into real business impact through close collaboration with sales, marketing, product, and channel teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience within Microsoft’s partner ecosystem
  • Strong knowledge of co-sell models and Microsoft marketplace dynamics
  • Deep understanding of MACC agreements and partner programs
  • Established network within Microsoft (field, PDMs, partner teams, executives)
  • Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Action-oriented mindset with comfort in ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Own the Microsoft partnership end-to-end — from co-sell readiness to executive alignment — to establish Microsoft as a measurable growth lever for ShareGate in FY27
  • Drive co-sell motions with Microsoft field teams to generate qualified pipeline and accelerate active deals toward closed revenue
  • Activate and optimize Microsoft programs (MACC, Marketplace, MDF, ISV Success) to grow Marketplace transactions and maximize commercial impact
  • Build and execute joint go-to-market initiatives with marketing — campaigns, field events, and co-branded plays — to drive Microsoft-influenced pipeline
  • Expand ShareGate's presence across Microsoft's partner ecosystem (CSPs, MSPs, SIs) to grow attach rates and increase Migrate → Protect bundle adoption
  • Act as the internal authority on Microsoft's priorities and AI-driven partner motion, translating ecosystem shifts into actionable strategies that keep ShareGate ahead
  • Track and report on partnership performance — co-sell pipeline, revenue influence, and Marketplace metrics — to give leadership a clear view of impact and inform investment decisions
