About The Position

The Strategic Account Manager role is responsible for growing strategic market sales through development, management, and expansion of national accounts within the construction market. This position requires a strong understanding of construction markets, project-based sales cycles, and multi-level customer relationships. The successful candidate will have a proven history of sales success, demonstrated by consistent achievement of growth targets, strategic account development, and must be able to work in a collaborative sales environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years hands on B to B sales experience
  • Proven experience in using metrics to manage
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and CRM (Salesforce.com), familiarity using AI tools
  • Ability to travel min 30% / year
  • Minimum of 4 trips/year to Grand Rapids, MI to connect with the corporate office and staff (if remote)

  • Experience in technical product sales and consultative sales a plus

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively pursues revenue goals and KPI’s with assigned strategic accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with contacts at different levels of key end user organizations including executive management as well as location stakeholders
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that increase brand awareness, product presence and revenue generation for all company products and services
  • Develop and execute specific marketing and sales-oriented programs to support key corporate initiatives or product launches
  • Increase revenue through the development of specific account plans to include new business development, product presentations, promotional programs, trade show plans, and overall account management
  • Work with HexArmor sales teams on opportunity identification and execution
  • Key liaison between end user market segment and all HexArmor departments including customer service, purchasing/sourcing, logistics as well as senior management
  • Identify and maintain knowledge of all current business with key accounts in market segment
  • Manage all aspects of key account sales data. Be able to spot trends and identify potential early warning signs with vulnerable accounts to proactively mitigate risk
  • Keep customer information and contact activity current our CRM database
  • Participation in regional or national industry trade shows, distributor training, and customer visits
