About The Position

The Strategic Account Program Manager assists in creating long-term value and is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, while supporting current prototype and production programs. This PM will work with the Sr. PM to develop markets primarily for nontraditional defense subcontractors for supply of commercial products to Prime Contractors. This role focuses on expanding strategic customer relationships, supporting proposal development, capturing new design wins, and driving revenue growth across the Account.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing.
  • 8+ years experience or an equivalent amount of advanced education and experience working in Project, Program, or Technical Management.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with drive to take ownership of program and project requirements and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive internal suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Lead cross function team of project management and engineering, while working with finance, legal, sales, and operations.
  • Sound decision-making skills in addressing issues/obstacles to project completion.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in the semiconductor industry.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition process in T/Cs & FAR/DFARS regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Sr. PM, internal groups, and stakeholders within a Prime Account to foster trust and long-term collaboration.
  • Manage customer engagement from opportunity identification through contract award and production.
  • Utilize technical, business, marketing, and collaborative skills while interfacing with internal and external customers on new programs, process and technology developments, and the delivery of prototype and production products.
  • Partner with the Business Unit, Account Management, and Sr. PM to develop business proposals, statements of work, product pricing, quotes, and order-placement strategies for R&D, prototype, and production opportunities.
  • Support negotiations for strategic partnerships, contracts, and business agreements to secure favorable terms and sustained revenue growth.
  • Work with the Account Management Team and Sr. PM to identify potential programs and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support current production programs and new opportunities.
  • Provide timely customer support and respond to inquiries related to business development, new proposals, R&D programs, and prototype and production programs.
  • Participate in Prime Account program reviews by communicating project status to the customer program team.
  • Identify and communicate gaps between customer expectations and actual program schedules.
  • Maintain pricing consistent with commercial business practices while supporting quarterly business reviews.
  • Apply broad knowledge of the microelectronics business to support customer and program needs and respond quickly to customer questions and inquiries.
  • Work with Account Management on business forecasts and program production plans to drive revenue.
  • Coordinate with BU Management, Account Management, Engineering, and Legal on program penetration and financial goals to achieve annual revenue targets.
