About The Position

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing the daily relationship with Target’s Marketplace selling Partners with a focus on growth, profitability, and market share expansion. You will manage your portfolio, accountable for GMV, revenue, margin performance, and guest experience. The Marketplace Partner Growth & Management Team enables growth for high-impact Partners through strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree, B.S. and/or B.A.
  • 3+ years of experience in merchandising or inventory management, forecasting, and product selection (including managing and maintaining an open-to-buy and developing strong business relationships with sellers/vendors and industry leaders).
  • Strong analytical skills; able to glean insights and make business decisions based on data
  • Experience within the digital space
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with strong planning and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Support pricing and promotions to drive growth while balancing short-term performance with long-term opportunity.
  • Optimize the Partner ecosystem and deliver differentiated assortments that elevate the guest experience.
  • Build strong relationships with Partner leadership; collaborate with internal stakeholders (Site merchandising, Guest & Assortment Strategy, Marketplace New Business Development, Marketplace Support & Capability Development, Marketplace Operations & Services) to resolve issues, influence tools and processes, and support Partner growth.
  • Use KPIs, guest behavior, competitive trends, and Partner analytics to shape strategies and improve conversion.
  • Ensure accuracy in forecasting, alignment to goals, and accountability to results for your categories.
