About The Position

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. is looking to hire a Strategic Account Manager who will manage the Colorado, Arizona, and Utah areas. This role oversees a designated large account of significant strategic and financial importance to ensure it attains assigned sales goals. The Strategic Account Manager is accountable for developing and maintaining professional relationships within the account as a Toyo representative and liaison. They will understand the account’s current business and future vision, and work with Toyo's subject matter experts to resolve issues. The role supports corporate interests with a National Distributor and the retail channel.

  • Experience working with automotive franchise organizations and or multi location retail operations
  • Past experience in the automotive retail environment managing tire programs, inventory management, supply chain operations
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize
  • Passenger and light truck tire product knowledge
  • Management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Ability to travel, with overnight accommodations, at least three (3) nights per week
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history
  • Ability to follow Company policies and safety guidelines
  • Applicant to reside West of the Mississippi River near a major airport
  • Extensive travel (75%)
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of five (5) years of tire sales experience. Education may be substituted with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Toyo product line, including features, benefits, warranties, sizing, and applications
  • Achieve annual and mid-term unit and dollar sales goals for the assigned account
  • Work with Marketing, Technical Services, Pricing, and Sales Operations to ensure market-level strategic and business objectives are met by the sales team
  • Assist account with the planning, development and implementation of sales-out programs to achieve sales goals
  • Drive growth within the retail channel with private label and Toyo branded products
  • Report on sales activities and forecasts, threats and opportunities, strategic plans, and sales program implementations
  • Develop and maintain good business relationships in the account through periodic contacts and proper handling of sales and administrative functions
  • Work with appropriate Toyo personnel to train the account personnel on products, programs, and tools
  • Work closely with Franchise Owners, Franchise Business Consultants and internal cross-functional teams to support private label product in addition to Toyo branded products
  • Collaborate with franchise leadership and field teams to identify sales opportunities, improve product mix and increase market penetration through the retail channel
  • Manage private brand product changes from size expansions, budgets, forecasting and sellout program
  • Represent Toyo at franchise meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Other duties as assigned
