About The Position

Fiserv is a global leader in Fintech and payments, moving money and information reliably and securely for financial institutions, corporations, merchants, and consumers. The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to the firm’s largest and most sophisticated Corporate clients across all Fiserv assets and lines of business. As the primary day-to-day contact for these clients, the SAM ensures seamless, high-quality service and support. This role also involves strategic thinking to assist Sales/Account Executives in growing existing client relationships, achieving revenue growth goals, and retaining business. Key areas of focus include Relationship Management, Client Retention, and Client Development.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years progressive experience in major account relationship management
  • Knowledge of the payments industry
  • Exposure to internal and external clients at all levels
  • Ability to travel 50%

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with key personnel in assigned client accounts
  • Serve as primary day-to-day business point of contact for clients - maintain regular and ongoing contact with client payments team & other parties within clients’ payments ecosystems
  • Provide indirect (dotted line) leadership to internal resources who support the clients (AMs, IT, Implementations, product teams, etc); bring all service together seamlessly for clients
  • Partner to identify revenue-generating product or service opportunities, renewals, or new business opportunities
  • Partner with Sales/Account Executives, as well as other account support representatives across Fiserv, to delivery quarterly business reviews
  • Serve as Payments Industry specialist and consultant for clients; advise clients on best practices, provides recommendations for operational efficiencies, advise clients of regulatory and Card Brand mandates, and help them achieve compliance, recommend new products/services to help clients retain clients and grow their business
  • Represents the voice of the client within the Fiserv organization to improve the client experience and advise future product strategy and pivotal initiatives
  • Work with Solution Consultants, Technical Account Managers, Product, Implementations, and other internal stakeholders to meet partner needs
  • Subject matter expert on client to all Fiserv business units
  • Develop understanding of clients’ business including industry verticals, product offerings, go to market strategies etc.
  • Engage with all Fiserv resources to make client introductions, find opportunities etc.
