About The Position

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Strategic Account Manager, National Contractor Accounts to support commercial and data center contractor accounts as part of the Data Center & Construction Segment Sales team. This is a remote role based in the US, with approximately 50% travel. The Strategic Account Manager, National Contractor Accounts is a consultative, technical sales professional responsible for supporting key national electrical contractor accounts, and end users serving the commercial, industrial, and data center verticals. The Strategic Account Manager must possess both strong technical and commercial skills and be experienced in electrical power distribution and mechanical support systems typically applied in these markets. The primary function of the Strategic Account Manager is to drive specification preference of Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds and B-Line series products in the marketplace, while providing technical leadership and collaboration with key contractor and end customer accounts, in addition to the GEIS and NAS Sales, & Application Engineering team. This position is responsible for collaborating with electrical contractors, and end customers for technical specification reviews, product line trainings/capacity updates, and foster improved forecasting and project management in coordination with the regional sales teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum seven (7) years of electrical sales and/or electrical engineering experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Key account lead and responsibilities at large national contractor partners (including but not limited to): Cupertino, Faith Technologies, Rosendin, & MMR, in addition to end users requirements as needed.
  • Align sales activities and focus on key contractors across national footprint.
  • Partner with rep agencies and channel partners to foster stronger end user and contractor engagement.
  • Guide strategic account procurement, design, and project management teams to correct Crouse Hinds or B-Line regional resources for post order project support.
  • Lead technical pre-sale application and technical support for Crouse-Hinds and B-Line series products with related contractors and/or end users/consulting firms in assigned sales geographies to better position Eaton in the market.
  • Provide technical application support on target projects including drawing reviews, contributions to sales pursuit strategies, and through interface with key stakeholders involved in the design and specification of the electrical infrastructure systems.
  • Assist customers with design-build opportunities, specification reviews, lighting audits, and other consultative activities.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership and mentoring in support of the sales teams across all north American regions.
  • Conduct product seminars and training on Crouse-Hinds and B-Line series products and solutions to consultants, specifiers, end users, channel partners, and sales engineers.
  • Work with product lines on the development of tools and literature focused on system designers and provide voice-of-customer input to drive product development.
