About The Position

Raken is a cloud-based, mobile, collaboration platform for the construction industry. The primary role of a Strategic Account Executive at Raken is to sell as a hunter and farmer in Raken’s upmarket segment. You will be expected to land and win new business accounts through various sources and prospecting efforts, in addition to expanding and upselling into existing customer accounts, and maintaining repeat business purchase with renewal outreach efforts. This role encompasses all aspects of the software sales cycle - prospecting, lead qualification and discovery, product demonstrations, trial and/or pilot testing, negotiation, closing, relationship management, strategic expansion, growth, and retention. This is a remote position for candidates located anywhere in the continental US. If a candidate is local to the San Diego area - the position is available as a hybrid role with the company HQ/Office located in Carlsbad, CA. This is an exempt position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of SaaS sales experience
  • Experience selling into construction, or have been involved in construction industry
  • Experience landing net new customer logos through outbound and inbound workflows
  • Experience with strategic account management and upselling/expansion selling techniques
  • Smart, ambitious, willing to learn and must be coachable
  • Customer-centric sales style - focused on helping and creating value for our customer instead of just "making a sale"
  • Team-oriented, but competitive nature
  • Love to help others & empathize with users of all experience levels
  • Have outstanding writing & communication skills
  • Hardworking self-starter and will first try to solve any problem before asking for help
  • Reliable, optimistic & super-organized and detailed

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle New Business, Expansion and Retention sales into Raken’s Upmarket Customer Category
  • Prospect and engage with potential customers via both outbound sales and inbound lead processes
  • Follows Raken sales process and methodology as instructed
  • Hits and exceeds sales quota in designated strategic customer accounts and new business accounts
  • Establishes, maintains, and uncovers new productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Coordinates the involvement of Raken company personnel, including customer success and product and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Record strong level of CRM detail and organization regarding the status of your accounts and opportunities
  • Scheduling/Providing discovery and qualification calls, followed by product demonstrations and follow-up meetings
  • Monitor customer usage of Raken and provide best practice recommendations
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly meetings with sales team
  • Represent our organization at trade shows, conferences, and events
