About The Position

The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for managing client interactions and account maintenance. This role involves managing a client book of business with an emphasis on building and fostering relationships with client or broker contacts through quality service delivery. The executive will proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis. Collaboration with co-workers and vendor contacts is essential for resolving client concerns or questions in a timely manner. The role requires attending and coordinating onsite or webinar meetings with clients, brokers, or PBMs for various purposes such as prescreening, finalist meetings, market results, quarterly reviews, and implementation meetings. Analyzing plan performance quarterly and providing recommendations on benefit design edits or savings opportunities is a key responsibility. The executive will manage the implementation timeline with the PBM to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule, including member communications, eligibility, accumulator, and other transition files. Overseeing the member communication process for new implementations or benefit changes, including drafting, editing, and mailing coordination with the PBM, is also part of the role. Validating testing results of PBM benefit configuration for accuracy and reviewing claims post go-live for new implementations or benefit changes are crucial. Maintaining internal documentation and systems for clients, meeting minutes, action logs, CRM, and continuous organization of information within client folders is required. The role also involves ad-hoc assistance for various internal projects and process improvements, and managing the RFP prescreening process to onboard new clients, coordinating RFP results meetings, and finalist meetings. Reviewing quarterly newsletters/communications to client contacts and attending prospect calls to present service overviews are also expected.

Requirements

  • Escalate any client or broker issues with PBMs
  • Analyze plan performance on a quarterly basis and provide recommendations on benefit design edits or savings opportunities
  • Manage the implementation timeline with PBM to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule including member communications, eligibility, accumulator and other transition files
  • Oversee member communication process for new implementations or benefit changes including drafting, editing and mailing coordination with the PBM
  • Validate testing results of PBM benefit configuration to ensure accuracy
  • Review claims post go live for new implementations or benefit changes
  • Maintain internal documentation and systems for clients, meeting minutes, action logs, CRM and continuous organization of information contained within client folders
