About The Position

The Strategic Account Executive for Onshape at PTC Inc. will drive revenue growth by selling Onshape's cloud-native product development platform to large, strategic accounts. This role focuses on understanding complex customer needs and positioning Onshape as a transformative solution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of successful strategic account sales experience, preferably within SaaS, CAD, PLM, or other enterprise software domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed multi-million dollar sales quotas.
  • Proven track record of selling complex, high-value solutions to large enterprise organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of product development processes.
  • Ability to travel as required to customer sites and company events.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy to achieve and exceed sales quotas within assigned strategic accounts.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT, engineering, and procurement teams, to understand their business challenges and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery meetings and presentations, effectively communicating Onshape's value proposition and competitive differentiation.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing, leveraging internal resources such as presales engineers, professional services, and legal teams.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strategic customers, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure customer success and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts and pipeline in CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to provide customer feedback and insights, influencing future product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and Onshape product advancements.
