About The Position
Drives a box truck to transport goods to designated locations within a defined geographic area. Position Summary Drives a box truck to transport goods to designated locations within a defined geographic area. Major Tasks and Responsibilities Drives straight box trucks to pick up and deliver freight. Follows assigned routes and schedules to deliver freight on time. Loads and unloads cargo following the Department of Transportation regulations. Tracks and maintains accurate delivery records. Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle before every dispatch. Utilizes pallet jacks and forklifts to load freight in trucks. Communicates any discrepancies and disruptions to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in operating a forklift and pallet jack.
