About The Position

Imperial Dade is seeking a Driver (Straight Truck) Class B Delivery Driver in Tampa to join their transportation group. This role is crucial for growing the business and offers a great opportunity for career advancement. The driver will be responsible for a daily route of stops, requiring unloading of products using hand, pallet jack, and dolly, and delivering merchandise to customer-designated locations. The core functions of this position include product delivery and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• A valid commercial driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
• A good driving record
• 1 year of recent CDL B experience
• 1 year of route delivery experience
• 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
• Lift gate experience
• Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
• Strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 24’ box truck of 26,000 pounds of gross vehicle weight (GVW)
• Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
• Properly track and document the activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect the truck before and after each trip
• Communicate with customers with an outgoing, positive attitude
