About The Position

Wakefield Moving & Storage, now part of Tobin Scientific, is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Box Truck Driver to transport commercial goods and equipment safely and on time. The position involves delivering, removing, and assembling items such as office furniture, laboratory equipment, commercial goods, school furniture, and household goods while providing professional customer service. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where communication, service, and punctuality are important.

Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift.
Comfort driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate a 26-foot box truck while transporting cargo, crew, and high-value materials.
Deliver products safely, accurately, and on schedule while providing a high level of customer service.
Load, unload, secure, and handle cargo to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.
Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain required documentation.
Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel usage, delivery documentation, and other operational records.
Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams about schedules, deliveries, delays, and service issues.
Follow applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations, along with company safety and operating procedures.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and business partners.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained vehicle.
Identify and proactively communicate potential delivery, equipment, or customer-service issues.
Follow established routes, schedules, and delivery procedures to support operational efficiency.
