Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
Must possess valid class C driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain City’s municipal stormwater drainage system; sets up proper barricades and traffic control at work sites to warn traffic of work hazards.
Perform installation, maintenance and repair tasks on various structures, i.e., drainage pipes, headwalls curb inlets, grate inlets, culverts, flumes, sidewalks, driveways.
Operate trucks (heavy equipment); loads, hauls, and unloads dirt, sand, asphalt, and other materials.
Maintain flow lines in creeks, stormwater channels, clean inlets and install stormwater pipe.
Cut, collect, and dispose of tree limbs, weeds, trash, litter, debris, and bulk items.
Sand streets and participate in ice control activities.
