In this role, you will assist as required in the day-to-day operations of inventory control for specialized and non-specialized aviation parts, materials and equipment required and utilized in the maintenance of aircraft operated.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in an Inventory management environment in an Aviation setting
  • Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
  • Experience in the following areas: Methods and practices used to receive, store, issue, transport and distribute material
  • Experience in the following areas: Data entry
  • Experience in the following areas: Stock control and inventory management
  • Experience in the following areas: Control of and understanding of Aviation Documentation
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • College or University diploma would be an asset
  • WHMIS training is an asset (annual training is provided)
  • WinAir 7 experience
  • Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS)

Responsibilities

  • Assist as required in the day-to-day operations of inventory control for specialized and non-specialized aviation parts, materials and equipment required and utilized in the maintenance of aircraft operated
  • Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels using WinAir Inventory software including expired parts and calibrated tools
  • Receive, issue, return and store parts, tools and material using approved processes
  • Packaging and shipping parts, tools and shop supplies
  • Retrieve and deliver shipments and documents as needed, including to bases
  • Deliver and return parts and material to the Stores room and hangar
  • Provide support in the inventory count process
  • Provide support for Aviation Parts Purchaser when required
  • After hours on-call rotation during aircraft deployment
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts
  • Report safety hazards or concerns noticed in the course of your duties through the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Maintain a clean and tidy Stores department and work area through general housekeeping, organization and constructing or modifying storage racks as needed
  • Participate in all training needs as assigned (Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP) and others as needed
  • Report directly to the Aviation Service Manager
  • Occasional travel – both locally and across Canada
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary to support the business as assigned by the Aviation Service Manager or delegate
  • You must be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods clearances, Airport Restricted area identity card (RAIC) and attain an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP)
