About The Position

The Stores Manager is responsible for managing, creating, updating, and improving systems and processes to ensure accurate Stores Inventory that meets customer needs. This role involves leading inventory planning and cost management, optimizing the computerized inventory/purchasing system (SAP), managing the receiving function, coordinating the mill's Investment Recovery process, and developing/controlling the department budget. The manager will also lead hourly stores, receiving, and maintenance services personnel, and manage the repair and return process for repairable storeroom items.

Requirements

• Significant experience with computerized stores/purchasing management systems (SAP).
• Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Must be results orientated being able to drive for effective solutions
• 3-5 years experience in Stores/Logistics/Purchasing.

Nice To Haves

• Excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Logistics experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Managing, creating and updating, and improving systems and processes to ensure an accurate Stores Inventory which meets the needs to key customer.
• Leading Inventory planning and cost management by coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering, operations and other Stores Managers and Purchasing.
• Designing, managing and directing procedures and practices to optimize the computerized inventory/purchasing system (SAP).
• Managing the Receiving function, including inbound handling and receipt documentation.
• Coordinating the mill’s Investment Recovery process and procedures.
• Developing and controlling department budget and operating expenses.
• Leading and directing hourly stores and receiving personnel.
• Leading and directing hourly Maintenance services personnel.
• Managing the repair and return process for repairable storeroom items.
