About The Position

Vallen is seeking a Storeroom Team Leader to work at a customer location. The role assists leadership by coordinating work assignments and training others in storeroom operations, handling storeroom materials and tools, and addressing customer issues. The Team Leader also performs the duties of the associates they train and provides guidance on operating policies and procedures.

The position coordinates and performs inventory and material-handling work, maintains accurate computerized inventory records, supports effective use of storeroom space and handling procedures, and helps ensure safe storeroom operations. The work may involve hazardous materials, protective equipment, physically demanding tasks, and work in extreme hot, cold, or dusty environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated product, industry, and supply chain systems knowledge.
• Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
• A quality mindset with attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word, and technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to work physical inventory.
• Ability to perform required physical activities, including sitting, standing, bending, and climbing, and potentially lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to meet the stated vision requirements, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service by responding to customers by phone, email, or in person.
• Coordinate and perform ordering, receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, binning, packing, labeling, pricing, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of customer materials.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to use team resources effectively and meet work schedules and targets.
• Enter data into computerized systems to maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records and retrieve stored information.
• Assist in monitoring handling procedures and space utilization and recommend improvements.
• Train, mentor, and monitor others in storeroom operations, handling materials and using storeroom tools, and addressing customer issues.
• Assist with ensuring safe storeroom operation.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
