About The Position

Join our Food Service team as a Storeroom Clerk! In this role, you will receive, stock, organize, and distribute food and supply inventory to support hospital meal services. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, maintaining inventory, rotating stock, and storing products in walk-in coolers and freezers. This position requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving heavy items in a fast-paced environment. Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Responsibilities

Receive, stock, organize, and distribute food and supply inventory to support hospital meal services.
Unload deliveries.
Maintain inventory.
Rotate stock.
Store products in walk-in coolers and freezers.
Prepare cold food items and assist in various support activities.
Take Room Service orders including employee/patient/family-initiated orders and those patients needing assistance.
Complete tray assembly.
Ensure food meets all safety and sanitary regulations and completes all required documentation.
Data entry using Microsoft Excel.
Basic cash handling.
Maintain a safe, clean, neat and orderly cooking area.
Ensure all department policies and programs are adhered to.
Ensure satisfaction in quality and service using problem resolution skills as necessary.
Complete daily position checklists, cleaning duties and all required documentation.
Complete all mandatory in-service trainings and meet employee health requirements.
Wash and sanitize all food service equipment used for patients and cafeteria service.
Replace items to their proper place of storage.
Demonstrate ability to exercise independent judgment in times of need.
Assist with putting away stock using the FIFO (first in, first out) method.
Clean and sanitize cafeteria service items.
Clean dish machine at end of shift.
Clean and sanitize work area.
Clean and sanitize food service carts.
