About The Position

The Seasonal Purchasing Storeroom & Receiving Clerk is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Purchasing and Receiving Department at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort. This position ensures all resort deliveries, inventory, and storeroom operations are handled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with Omni Hotels & Resorts standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This seasonal role plays an important part in supporting resort operations across food & beverage outlets, housekeeping, engineering, and other departments during peak business periods.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Basic computer and data entry skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality
  • Ensure all products match purchase orders and packing slips
  • Organize and stock storeroom inventory in a clean and orderly manner
  • Deliver products and supplies to departments throughout the resort
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts
  • Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in receiving and storage areas
  • Communicate with vendors and department managers regarding deliveries and shortages
  • Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other receiving equipment safely
  • Follow Omni Hotels & Resorts policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Support the Purchasing Manager and Receiving Clerk with additional duties as assigned
