About The Position

The Storekeeper is responsible for executing product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. This role involves inspecting and accepting incoming shipments, completing material fulfillment, and ensuring compliance with company policies including QHSE. The Storekeeper will perform various inventory-related tasks such as inspecting, labeling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal, and cycle counting. They will also be responsible for accepting supplier deliveries, reporting discrepancies, ensuring outgoing inventory is correctly packed and documented, optimizing warehouse bin locations for efficiency and safety, and maintaining housekeeping standards in warehouse and shipping/receiving areas. Additionally, the Storekeeper will perform inventory cycle counting, support physical counts, handle Kitting and Kanban replenishment, investigate and resolve inventory and warehouse issues, and operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment after training.

Requirements

Minimum 1+ years of experience.
Experience with Forklift- LI Sit Down and/or 3 Way Narrow Aisle.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work 1st Shift.
Ability to complete training and certification for forklift or other materials handling equipment.
Attention to detail.
Warehouse experience.
Positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Execute product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
Inspect and accept incoming shipments against supplier packing lists, ensuring items have been received in a satisfactory state.
Complete material fulfillment upon request.
Comply with applicable company policies including personnel and QHSE.
Perform inspecting, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal and cycle counting of inventory items.
Accept supplier deliveries, checking that actual items received are in suitable condition and match the packing list and/or purchase order.
Report discrepancies in a timely manner.
Ensure outgoing inventory items are suitably packed and issued with correct and complete documentation.
Improve efficiency and safety by optimizing warehouse bin locations.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
Perform inventory cycle counting and support periodic physical counts.
Perform tasks associated with Kitting and Kanban point-of-use replenishment and other materials management initiatives.
Investigate and resolve local inventory and warehouse issues.
Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment upon completion of training.
