About The Position

Located in Wallingford, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is a quasi-public agency of the state of Connecticut. The Connecticut Lottery Corporation is currently recruiting for a Storekeeper to work in our warehouse. In addition to independently performing a full range of various stores duties, both manual and clerical, such as storing, issuing, inspecting, inventorying and the like, you will: Receive and issue stock and maintain records of receipts, requisitions, and stock on hand; Arrange stock in planned fashion, with due account taken of age, accessibility, safety and security; Clarify amount and condition of stock on hand and reports all discrepancies or need for replenishment; Verify quantity and quality of incoming supplies against invoices, dray bills, bills of lading and orders; Maintain housekeeping and security of stores area; Take required inventory of materials and supplies; Code and inventory furniture and equipment; Operate material handling equipment. such as a forklift and pallet jack Will drive agency motor vehicles as assigned; to include a 26� box truck May enter data into a computer; Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in stock or warehouse work
  • Knowledge of the methods of requisitioning, handling, storing and issuing of materials and supplies
  • Knowledge of safe and efficient warehousing practices including purchasing
  • Some interpersonal skills
  • Some oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to keep accurate stock records and inventories
  • Ability to utilize computer software
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Speed and accuracy are essential
  • A valid CT driver�s license without restrictions is required
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment

  • A CDL is not required for this position.
