The Storekeeper receives and stages merchandise by department, marks it appropriately for placement in the facility, and delivers it to the appropriate department. This role involves stacking received merchandise on pallets or carts, completing requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notifying the manager/supervisor of low stock levels in a timely manner. The Storekeeper also receives deliveries, stores perishables properly, and rotates stock. They inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throughout case lots, and refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items. Adherence to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas is crucial. Additionally, the Storekeeper organizes, cleans, and sanitizes all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. They are responsible for removing empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and placing them in proper storage areas. The role also requires reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and completing safety training and certifications. Following all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are essential. The Storekeeper must speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals. Compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards, and the ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print) are also required. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are needed for grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight. The role may involve moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors may also be performed.
