The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving and staging merchandise, marking it for placement, and delivering it to the appropriate department. This role involves stacking received merchandise, completing inventory and supply requisitions, and monitoring low stock levels. The Storekeeper also receives deliveries, properly stores perishables, rotates stock, and inspects deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality. They are responsible for refusing damaged or incorrect items and adhering to all food safety and handling policies. Additionally, the Storekeeper organizes, cleans, and sanitizes storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, and equipment, and manages the removal of waste and packaging materials. The position also requires adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and maintaining professional appearance and communication. This role involves developing positive working relationships, complying with quality standards, and performing various physical tasks.
