About The Position

The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking an organized Storekeeper I to join the Physical Services team within the Office of Administration. This individual will assist in the daily operation of the Agency’s warehouse, storeroom, and mailroom. Detail-oriented, self-motivated individuals are welcome to apply for this fast-paced position.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
  • Requires one (1) year of experience in the keeping of stores and stores records.
  • Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
  • Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the operation of the Department of Public Health’s Warehouse, Storeroom and mailroom operations.
  • Ships and inventories materials associated with the various programs administered by the Department.
  • Travels to pick up and/or deliver storeroom materials and mail at IDPH locations and Post Office for designated sources within the Agency.
  • Completes periodic inventories of commodities.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
