About The Position

HART is currently collecting applications for a Storekeeper. This position performs routine storekeeping work involving the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
  • One year of experience in storekeeping
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within in 10 days of hire or moving to the State of Florida.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a timely fashion on multiple concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to accurately memorize and retain details.
  • Ability to interact positively with a variety of personalities internally and externally.
  • Analytical/problem solving ability.
  • Ability to meet attendance and punctuality requirements.
  • Ability to be a flexible, effective team player.
  • Standard office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to hear, see, speak, and perceive color, depth and texture.
  • Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, stores, and issues various supplies, parts, materials, tools and equipment as related to transit and automotive maintenance.
  • Maintains inventory and other records, of part on hand, and ensures maintenance of adequate stock.
  • Performs safety and housekeeping procedures within storage area to maintain a safe and neat working area.
  • Observes and conducts strict property control to ensure materials are used only for official Authority purposes; reports potential violations to Supervisor or higher level management; ensures that only authorized personnel gain access to storage areas.
  • Observes and corrects the following: storage areas for overflows, mixed stock, incorrect/incomplete bin placement, incorrect tags; develops on-the-spot corrections.
  • Maintains records, logs, and ledgers related to area of work.
  • Handles the storage of hazardous materials as required by OSHA.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
