About The Position

The Western Sugar Cooperative has a challenging opportunity for a Storekeeper. This position is responsible for leading the Billings storeroom, to ensure all functions are being performed in a timely accurate manner. This position plays a key role in the proper care and maintenance of all direct order, stock orders, including receiving, issuing and managing inventory. Customer service is critical in this position, being able to take care of the needs of production and maintenance to avoid any production down time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Storeroom experienced required
  • Excellent computer competence (outlook, word, powerpoint, excel, SAP,)
  • Must be able to handle several priorities at one time
  • Strong customer focus mind-set
  • Solid leadership and influencing skills
  • Must be able to qualify and operate a forklift
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Good math skills
  • Must be 18 years old or older

Responsibilities

  • Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership
  • Leads storeroom staff
  • Master the procure to pay process to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with Purchasing agent and preferred suppliers to confirm we are getting the best product for the best price
  • Make sure orders are placed on time to preferred suppliers or get competitive quotes when necessary
  • Track and control open purchase orders, ensuring delivery dates are met
  • Prepare and update all required paperwork for vendor products and ensure accuracy in all inventories and resolve any issues in same
  • Monitor all procurement requests of facilities and ensure accuracy in all inbound inventory and maintain records for same
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all storeroom locations.
  • Work with plant personnel and AP to verify receipt of items and resolves shipments in error with suppliers
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Work with maintenance to make sure we have the correct items in inventory, or on order
  • Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents
  • Work with Safety and PPE supplier to run vending program so we do not run out and avoid discrepancies
  • Manage stock levels with preferred suppliers
