About The Position

This position maintains an effective and efficient institutional warehouse operation at Coffeewood Correctional Center, ensuring an adequate inventory level of approved items in compliance with Department of Corrections (DOC) and institutional policy and procedure. The role is responsible for the daily receipt and delivery of warehouse/commissary items and maintaining a perpetual inventory system. It also involves assisting with physical inventory of warehouse items and maintaining the safety, security, and sanitation of the warehouse operation. This position serves as the surplus and excess property coordinator for the facility, ensuring proper inspection and accurate documentation for all received, stocked, and distributed items. Furthermore, it ensures all staff and inmate workers are properly trained, supervised, and monitored.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Outlook
  • Demonstrated skill in inventory control, storage, receiving and issuing goods
  • Demonstrated skill in records management and preparing workplace reports
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend workplace policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written

  • Extensive work experience in storeroom/warehouse operations (inventory managed environment)
  • Demonstrated skill in inventory control, storage, receiving and issuing goods
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend workplace policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated skill in records management and preparing workplace reports
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Forklift Operator (certification desired)
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Previous experience in handling of hazardous materials
