About The Position

University Housing & Dining is seeking a Storekeeper II to join the team at Burge Marketplace. This role involves operating a small storeroom or managing one or more functions of a large storeroom operation, and providing functional supervision to storeroom personnel as required. University Dining at Iowa aims to provide wholesome, healthy, and tasty foods daily, focusing on sustainable products and services, and purchasing locally grown and sustainable foods when possible. The dining areas are described as vibrant, dynamic places to work and eat. The Division of Student Life, which includes 15 departments, fosters student success by creating and promoting educationally purposeful services and activities within and beyond the classroom, emphasizing teamwork and student safety.

Requirements

One year of work experience in storekeeping, accounting, business administration or job related work, or Any combination of such experience and post high school education that totals one year
Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards

Nice To Haves

Understanding of ordering cycles, storage standards, food safety, and coordination with receiving, culinary teams, and floor supervisors
Experience using an automated food control system
Ability to take the ServSafe course and successfully pass the ServSafe test requirements within one year of hire
Ability to foster a welcoming and respectful workplace environment while recognizing personal differences
