About The Position

University Housing & Dining is seeking a Storekeeper II to join the team at Burge Marketplace. Under general supervision, the Storekeeper II operates a small storeroom or is in charge of one or more functions of a large storeroom operation, and provides functional supervision to storeroom personnel as required. University Dining aims to provide wholesome, healthy, and tasty foods prepared daily to meet students’ dietary and nutritional needs. Staff are committed to sustainable products and services that protect natural resources and purchase locally grown and sustainable foods from vendors when possible. Dining areas are described as vibrant, dynamic places to work and eat. The opening shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with occasional overtime. Requirements

One year of work experience in storekeeping, accounting, business administration, or related work; alternatively, a combination of such experience and post-high-school education totaling one year.
A driver’s license and ability to meet University of Iowa Fleet Safety Standards.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of ordering cycles, storage standards, food safety, and coordination with receiving, culinary teams, and floor supervisors.
Experience using an automated food control system.
Ability to take the ServSafe course and successfully pass its test requirements within one year of hire.
Ability to foster a welcoming and respectful workplace environment while recognizing personal differences.
