Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the merchandising functions of the Gallery Shop/Art Lending Services, including responsibility for inventory, accounting functions and office procedures.
  • Orders and maintains an inventory of merchandise.
  • Ensures accuracy of quantities and quality of merchandise.
  • Establishes a supply storage inventory.
  • Supervises and schedules student and part-time workers.
  • Maintains time sheets and related records.
  • Schedules volunteer coordinators and ensures adequate coverage of attendants at admissions machine.
  • Develops and maintains volunteer training manual and participates in the training of volunteers.
  • Authorizes payment of approved invoices to vendors and artists through the University Accounting Department.
  • As required, prepares timely and accurate reports and maintains necessary records.
  • Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with members of the Gallery staff, other University personnel and the general public.
  • Other duties as assigned.
