About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a part-time Material Handler to join our team at the North Canton outlet store! As a material handler, you will move donated materials, salvage commodities, refuse, equipment/fixtures, or other designated materials on/off trucks, and properly sort them into the designated locations within the store. You will also assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross-train to cover other specified job descriptions as needed. Provide excellent customer service to the stores, admin, and all other vendors/donors.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred or GED.
Ability to work varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Constant standing.
Constant bilateral reach and handling ability.
Constant fingering and pinch grip.
Ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
May require constant shoulder height reaching with either hand and firm grasp.
Frequent bending.
May squat.
Ability to push/pull less than 20 lbs.
Ability to operate all tipping equipment.
Ability to use all appropriate safety PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow all safety practices.
Know different shades and tones of color.
Know merchandise within a variety of categories.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the operation of personal computers preferred.
