About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a part-time Material Handler to join our team at the North Canton outlet store! As a material handler, you will move donated materials, salvage commodities, refuse, equipment/fixtures, or other designated materials on/off trucks, and properly sort them into the designated locations within the store. You will also assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross-train to cover other specified job descriptions as needed. Primary duties include moving donated materials, salvage commodities, trash, equipment/fixtures, or other designated materials on/off trucks, and sorting them properly into designated locations within the store. Will assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross-train to cover other specified job descriptions within the plant as needed. Provide excellent customer service to the stores, admin, and all other vendors/donors.

Requirements

Ability to operate all tipping equipment.
Ability to use all appropriate safety PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow all safety practices.
Know different shades and tones of color.
Know merchandise within a variety of categories.
Ability to work varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays a must.
Perform physical requirements of position including but not limited to: constant standing, constant bilateral reach and handling ability; constant fingering and pinch grip; requires constant ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs.; may require constant shoulder height reaching with either hand and firm grasp; frequent bending; may squat; requires frequent ability to push/pull less than 20 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the operation of personal computers preferred.
