Requirements

  • Experience in a high-volume retail environment.
  • Understanding of the local market and requirements relevant to new store openings.
  • Financial management experience with success in driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with a track record of attracting, developing, and motivating top talent, swiftly adapting to change, and leading others through fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Deep local knowledge and informed of trends in retail.
  • Ability to navigate and grow your network to get introductions.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, understanding the importance of experimentation and iteration.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth and awareness of Mejuri in your store and market.
  • Lead by example, build motivation, and create an environment that demonstrates Mejuri values.
  • Be the ultimate brand ambassador, accountable for creating a highly productive store environment that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive environment where employees are motivated and supported.
  • Reflect and celebrate milestones with the team and focus on growing and developing team members.
  • Manage and provide oversight on all aspects of profit, customer, people, merchandising, and operations in the store.
  • Partner with various cross-functionals to exceed targets.
  • Responsible for the financial health and profitability of the store, driving revenue and exceeding targets.
  • Uphold Mejuri’s customer service model by communicating and training the team.
  • Maximize results and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by driving own performance and the performance and engagement of the team.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience and promotion of services like piercing and engraving.
  • Partner with Operations teams to hold successful inventory and cycle counts.
  • Ensure teams have proper technology and troubleshooting guidance.
  • Manage the back-of-house flow to support in-store, phone, or BOPIS sales, ensuring efficiency with packaging and order delivery standards.
  • Maintain organizational integrity of the back-of-house, including display inventory, sellable inventory, packaging, and supplies.
  • Proficiently use point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and other retail technology.
  • Accountable for mitigating internal, external, and administrative loss of product.
  • Identify and escalate opportunities, gaps, risks, and roadblocks with urgency, partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve.
  • Ensure Mejuri brand standards of visual presentation, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Monitor assortment performance to create a productive sales environment and determine action steps to improve sell-through.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of all retail campaign signage and windows.
  • Validate the integrity of all display forms, graphics, furniture, and decor items.
  • Coach and inform all store team members on updates or changes to Visual Merchandising standard practices.
  • Ensure the right people are in the right positions at the right time and in the right quantities across stores.
  • Own the sourcing, assessment, and selection of talent to build the necessary infrastructure.
  • Validate and participate in the successful integration of new talent into store teams.
  • Validate that team members are completing required training.
  • Ensure store schedules are supported with high-quality and accurate inputs and uphold responsible live-week management standards.
  • Validate the regular and accurate assessment of people against performance review criteria and KPIs.
  • Build healthy relationships with people and establish a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Adhere to and validate compliance practices and partner with People Operations to resolve escalations.
