About The Position

The Black Tux is looking for an engaging Retail Store Manager to help build our retail presence in Atlanta. The candidate will work with the Retail Director to develop the foundation for our retail business and community presence. We are looking for an individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and has great interpersonal skills. In this role, you will focus on executing processes and procedures that help us consistently provide an amazing customer experience and ensure that the store exceeds performance targets, and maintains brand consistency.

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of retail or hospitality experience (supervisory or manager level preferred)
  • Experienced in hiring and managing a team
  • Highly effective in written and verbal communication
  • Put an emphasis on exceptional customer service
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training, company conferences, or to support store launches
  • Experience working in menswear and/or a startup, preferably
  • Kind, collaborative, and creative
  • Takes pride in work and accountability for any success or failure
  • Customer experience is at the heart of everything you do
  • Humble, inclusive, and respectful

Responsibilities

  • Understand and communicate The Black Tux’s values and brand philosophy to customers and staff
  • Optimize processes to make things run more efficiently and smoothly
  • Manage scheduling and time-off matters for all retail store associates
  • Manage all operations, budgeting, planning, and visual merchandising
  • Coordinate periodic store events with The Black Tux marketing and business development teams
  • Develop and ensure procedures are followed to protect the company’s inventory and assets as well as all activities related to risk management and safety
  • Assist with Showroom or Nordstrom Shop in Shop launches as the business requires
  • Help recruit and build a great team of retail associates
  • Provide ongoing training and development for all team members
  • Provide a seamless Customer Experience across our CX tools
