About The Position

Kal Tire is looking for a Store Manager to lead their team in Chetwynd, BC. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity where you will shape culture, drive performance, and develop future leaders. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of a collaborative, customer-focused environment, guiding a team through day-to-day operations while aligning business goals with frontline execution. You will also take a hands-on approach to customer service, supporting customers at the front counter and helping with their automotive needs. This is a perfect opportunity for a versatile leader who enjoys wearing multiple hats, coaching and mentoring, budgeting, inventory optimization, and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • A high school diploma/ GED equivalent and management training.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong communication skills and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. as required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive customer relationships.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe work environment by promoting the use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, automotive and customer focused team with a hands on approach.
  • Apply leadership skills in safety, operations, and change management, while delivering hands-on customer service support in the automotive sector.
  • Drive business outcomes, decision-making, cost control, and strategic planning, while maintaining a strong presence in front-line customer interactions.
  • Leverage Kal Tire’s internal programs, certifications, and leadership resources to strengthen impact.
  • Contribute to a values-driven culture where collaboration, integrity, and accountability are at the core of everything we do.
  • Guide and mentor a team of Front Counter, Tire Technicians, Journeypersons, Apprentices, and more.
  • Manage profit and loss statements, oversee budgeting, and exercise effective inventory management.
  • Prioritize tasks and ensure impeccable customer experiences.
  • Drive sales to customers and within a B2B context, foster strong business relationships.
  • Recruit, retain, and cultivate top-tier talent while championing customer-first priorities.
  • Lead by example, following safety protocols and prioritizing the welfare of your team and customers.
