About The Position

Beyond Yoga is seeking a temporary Store Manager for a pop-up store in NYC, operating from August to January. This role involves leading the retail team to achieve sales goals and financial plans, fostering employee engagement, and creating a collaborative selling environment. The Store Manager will be responsible for assessing and strategizing to drive key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Conversion, Units Per Transaction, and Sales Per Hour, utilizing company tools and resources to identify opportunities and successes. Additionally, the role includes managing all aspects of store operations, visual merchandising, inventory management, and ensuring a compelling in-store customer experience. The Store Manager will also embody the company's core values, build relationships, and contribute to a culture of diversity and inclusion, acting as a brand ambassador.

Requirements

  • Progressive retail leadership experience.
  • Proven skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of the job the employee may be required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crouch, bend, stoop, talk and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, to type, reach overhead, and climb ladders.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the retail team in achieving daily/weekly/monthly sales goals and meeting store financial plans.
  • Drive employee engagement and foster a collaborative selling environment.
  • Assess and strategize to drive performance goals (Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Sales Per Hour, and other measurable KPIs).
  • Utilize company tools and resources to assess the business and develop action plans.
  • Recruit, hire, and make termination decisions for all store personnel, including management.
  • Manage employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and ensuring adherence to operational policies.
  • Facilitate onboarding and training for new hires on company culture, product knowledge, and selling techniques.
  • Coach staff to increase their knowledge and create succession plans for developing associates.
  • Achieve payroll plan by managing store schedules and monitoring labor costs.
  • Ensure sound inventory management through accurate receiving and sending merchandise processes.
  • Prevent loss by educating associates on customer service and monitoring daily store activity.
  • Perform store visual standards following visual merchandising direction and adapt as needed for the store's layout.
  • Ensure product is displayed in a compelling manner that tells a story through styling.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of product on the sales floor through effective replenishment planning.
  • Create a compelling store experience by engaging customers and modeling appropriate selling and service behaviors.
  • Build relationships naturally, embrace individuality, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the store team and Home Office on building community connections and executing events.
  • Act as a brand ambassador embodying and cultivating the company’s core values.
