About The Position

The Store Manager leads store operations, team development, sales execution, and the customer experience at Five Below. The role is highly visible on the sales floor and is responsible for creating a positive, fun, high-performing store culture while maintaining operational standards and delivering results. The Store Manager coaches and develops associates, manages labor to business needs and budget, keeps freight and store zones on track, models selling behaviors, and adapts quickly to changing priorities. Success is measured through sales and labor results, TruRating feedback and customer satisfaction, Store Scorecard performance, team development and retention, and operational execution and compliance. The work combines active floor leadership with structured planning, development check-ins, coaching conversations, labor and volume planning, and use of Five Below resources and programs. The position requires frequent movement around the sales floor and stockroom, communication with customers and coworkers, and use of store equipment and technology. A flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 18 years old.
Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, think creatively, and maintain composure under pressure.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and move merchandise to a height of 5–10 feet.
Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
Ability to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Nice To Haves

5–10+ years of leadership experience leading teams and delivering results.
Experience managing a store or large department; retail experience preferred but not required.
Promotion from assistant or co-manager roles is a plus.
Experience leading in fast-paced, high-volume, or high-complexity store environments.
