About The Position

The Store Manager/Optician will lead and support the store team in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving store goals. This role involves overseeing day-to-day store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory, and administrative activities. The manager will create a welcoming store environment, handle customer concerns, and coach team members. A key aspect of the role is ensuring eyewear products are created with speed, efficiency, and accuracy, utilizing optical expertise for fitting, adjusting, and assembling eyeglasses. The Store Manager will also support the District Manager to ensure the store reflects company standards and objectives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required
ABO Certification required
1+ year of retail Store Management experience
2+ years of experience as an Optician in a retail store or optometrist’s office
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with eyewear fitting, adjustments, and assembly
Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to train, support, and motivate team members while leading by example
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required to operate the store.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Opticianry or some postsecondary education preferred.

Use your optical expertise to adjust, fit, and assemble eyeglasses according to each customer’s needs and preferences.
Support the District Manager and ensure the store consistently reflects the company’s standards and objectives.
