This position is for a Store Manager in Training. The role involves recruiting, hiring, training, and managing employees to ensure excellent customer service and maintain site standards. The Store Manager in Training will be responsible for developing, managing, and assigning tasks to ensure the site is clean, stocked, organized, and well-kept. They will also maintain a professional and supportive image, schedule employees, and implement non-discriminatory management practices. The role includes developing positive relationships with suppliers, promoting excellent customer service, resolving complaints, and promoting a safe, positive public image in the community. Additionally, the position involves preparing performance appraisals, training employees on customer service, site image, marketing, and safety procedures. The Store Manager in Training will also be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate communication with employees and the Market Manager, developing action plans to meet site objectives, organizing site files, and managing employee reports. Financial responsibilities include analyzing sales and expenses, budgeting, forecasting P&L, managing merchandise margins, and safeguarding money. The working conditions involve performing work indoors with occasional outdoor tasks, exposure to cold temperatures in walk-in coolers/freezers, occasional noise, and working with a minimum of direction.
