About The Position

This role focuses on maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. The team member will provide friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and collect and dispose of trash. Responsibilities include dusting and damp mopping floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and cleaning assigned areas using specified materials and equipment. This may involve mixing cleaning solutions. The role also entails deep cleaning key areas like bathrooms and breakrooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively seek out areas requiring cleaning. All tasks must be completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, projecting a positive image, and serving as a role model are also key aspects of this position. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck un-loads, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.

  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience; execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.
