About The Position

The Store Environment Team Member is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. This role involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in navigating the store and finding products. The team member will also be responsible for collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and mopping floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and cleaning assigned areas using specified materials and equipment. This may include mixing cleaning solutions. The role also entails deep cleaning of key store areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning. All tasks must be completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Additionally, the role requires maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, projecting a positive image, and serving as a role model. Other duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck un-loads, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is essential for compliance with laws and requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways and other high traffic areas.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
  • Execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
