About The Position
Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Deli Manager to join our team at our new Belgrade location. Town Pump is a growing company with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth. As a Store Deli Manager, you will assist the store manager in supervisory decisions, planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up with controllable expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls. You will set an exemplary example for co-workers in terms of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and convenience store operations. You will also conduct new employee orientation and training, promote employee development, and document performance evaluations. Daily walk-throughs will be conducted to prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on tasks. Maintaining accurate inventories, ordering and maintaining deli merchandise, and achieving favorable deli metrics are key responsibilities. You will also conduct maintenance in the deli area, including basic preventative maintenance and repairs of deli equipment, follow all sanitation procedures, and maintain high-quality standards in food preparation. Preparing deli items and cooking heated items as required, and promoting kitchen and store safety are also part of the role. You will check in deli vendors, cross-check orders, and put away orders once received, while watching for miss-picks, wrong pack sizes, and damaged merchandise. Maintaining PLUs and printing lists for tills are also required. Keeping product rotated and fresh, checking expiration dates, and removing unauthorized products are essential. You will be required to complete and pass ServSafe certification (may be waived by Deli Operations Manager) and have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

- Conduct new employee orientation and training. Promote continued development of all employees and objectively document performance and conduct evaluations.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs; effectively prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow-up on tasks to be accomplished.
- Maintain accurate inventories, order, and maintain deli merchandise, and achieve favorable deli metrics.
- Conduct maintenance in the deli area, including basic preventative maintenance and repairs of deli equipment.
- Follow all sanitation procedures, and maintain the highest quality standards in food preparation.
