Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn about auto parts.
High school diploma or GED.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Enjoyment of fast-paced retail environments.
Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.

Nice To Haves

Technical or trade school courses or degree.
Background in or passion for the automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries.
Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision setting.
Knowledge of cataloging or inventory management systems.
ASE certifications.
Automotive-parts knowledge gained through work in the automotive industry or through tinkering with or repairing cars and trucks.

Responsibilities

Provide auto-parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter and over the phone.
Use parts knowledge to help other NAPA team members answer customer questions.
Provide outstanding customer care and interactions to everyone who visits the store.
Bring customer focus and high energy to a fast-paced store environment.
Welcome retail customers and engage with them to create a positive consumer experience.
Use a computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
