About The Position

CHS Inc. is hiring a full-time Store Clerk at its Cenex® Zip Trip convenience store in Hungry Horse, Montana. The Store Clerk helps customers have a positive and efficient store experience through professional, courteous service and support with purchases. This fast-paced role generally works 40 hours over a five-day week, with work schedule flexibility. The position includes customer service, cashiering, merchandising, store upkeep, inventory support, loss prevention, and promotion of a strong safety culture.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in retail and/or retail merchandising and customer service.
Must meet the minimum age requirement.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with customers and coworkers.
Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment, including cash registers and time- and record-keeping computer systems.
Ability to stand, squat, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 55 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service; greet customers promptly and courteously, and assist customers browsing inventory or checking out.
Perform cashier responsibilities, including accepting payments and issuing receipts.
Display and organize products so customers can locate them easily.
Maintain the store's appearance by dusting, cleaning, and restocking merchandise.
Order merchandise and track inventory as assigned.
Monitor customers to assist with loss prevention.
Assist with preparation of displays and promotions.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture; follow safety policies, training, personal protective equipment procedures, and regulations.
Identify and communicate workplace hazards, and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
