About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk. The role is accountable for customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking and displaying merchandise, store upkeep and safety, and deli food sales and cooking. The Store Clerk operates the cash register, assists customers, maintains store and exterior areas, performs shift tasks, and completes other duties assigned by management. Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and handle cash and accounting duties.
Stock, price, rotate, and display merchandise; stock shelves and coolers.
Operate the computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
Remember regular customers, answer and screen phone calls, monitor the store, detect shoplifting, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
Complete shift work, clean and maintain all store areas, and complete vendor check-in procedures.
Complete the protocol system and drive-off controls.
Advise the store manager of situations or policy violations that adversely affect store operating performance.
Maintain exterior areas by sweeping the lot, shoveling snow, cleaning gas pumps, and filling water and cleaning-solution buckets on islands.
Keep hot dog rollers, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment centers, coffee areas, and fountain dispensers clean, filled, and stocked.
Perform deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
