About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to provide customer service and support store operations. The role includes cash handling and accounting, stocking and displaying merchandise, housekeeping, safety and security, and deli food sales and cooking. Store Clerks may also perform deli duties at smaller locations.

Requirements

• Motivated and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer complaints.
• Operate a computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, process checks, and bag merchandise.
• Remember regular customers, answer and screen phone calls, monitor the store, detect shoplifting, and support store security.
• Stock shelves and coolers; price, rotate, and display merchandise.
• Complete shift work, vendor check-in procedures, the protocol system, and drive-off controls.
• Clean and maintain store areas, including the exterior, lot, gas pumps, and food-service stations and equipment.
• Shovel snow and fill water and cleaning-solution buckets on fuel islands.
• Prepare and sell deli food, including performing deli duties at smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
• Advise the store manager of situations or policy violations that adversely affect store operating performance.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
