About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The associate follows operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards; supports customer experience practices; and contributes to a positive store culture. The role is cross-trained in other store areas and helps meet front-end coverage needs. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
- Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
- Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
